Population (updated!)

March 29, 2009 Business Journal article on the fastest growing cities in the nation (the Bend area, the Portland-Bvtn-Vancouver area & the Salem area).

In 2006, according to DMV records, more than 24,000 Californians migrated north to Oregon, making California the largest contributor to Oregon's in-migration population. Arizona, Texas and Florida follow. Portland Monthly April 2008.

Researchers at PSU's College of Urban and Public affairs predict Portland's population of 65 and older, will grow by 137% in the next 30 years and will make up more than 17% of the total population. Only 6 other cities in the nation outpaced Portland. Portland Monthly, April 2008
